6th annual State of Our Community

Business, civic, community, and education leaders will have the opportunity to hear firsthand where our community is, and where it is headed, at the upcoming State of Our Community Luncheon.
 
The event, hosted by the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce, will be held Wednesday, August 29, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the USCA Convocation Center.
 
The luncheon will feature the following speakers:
• Aiken County Council Chair Ronnie Young - State of the County
• Mayor Fred Cavanaugh - State of the City
• Aiken County School Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Everitt - State of Education
• Aiken Chamber Chair Arthur W. (Buzz) Rich, Esq. - State of Business

The speakers will focus briefly on accomplishments since last year's presentations, obstacles that we as a community may face, and their vision for the future.

A special feature this year will be a performance by the 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus from Fort Bragg.
