Aiken: A Compelling Place to Live

State of Our Community 2017

The Aiken Chamber of Commerce recognizes the importance of planning for Aiken’s future. Chamber Chair Charlie Hartz, Dunkin’ Donuts of Aiken, appointed the Compelling Place to Live Task Force in January to develop strategies and recommendations to effectively develop, attract and retain new workers, families with children and early career professionals to the area to meet the workforce needs of business and industry.

Task Force chair, Dr. Sandra Jordan, Chamber Board Member and Chancellor of USC Aiken will present the findings and recommendations of the group at the Chamber’s 11th Annual State of Our Community Luncheon August 30.

The State of Our Community luncheon is August 30 at the USC Aiken Convocation Center from noon to 2 p.m. Members who would like to attend should contact Aiken Chamber Membership Services Director, Emily Murphy at 803.645.0144 or emurphy@aikenchamber.net.
