AYP to get tips on public speaking
Professional speaker Denise Ryan, Firestar Speaking, will be the guest speaker at the Aiken Young Professionals next Lunch & Learn.
The event will be held Friday, March 15th from 12 to 2 p.m. at Newberry Hall in downtown Aiken.
Ryan is an author, professional trainer, and keynote speaker known for her infectious energy and enthusiasm. She will address the topic, “Public Speaking & Preparing an Effective Presentation,” sharing her many anecdotes and tips on how to be a better public speaker and on making an effective presentation in the workplace.
“I’ve heard Denise on several occasions,” said Aiken Chamber President J. David Jameson, “She understands the ins-and-outs of public speaking, from knowing your audience to the importance of not only what to say but also how to say it. I think the young professionals will walk away with valuable tips and information,” Jameson said.
Ryan holds the title of Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), a designation awarded to fewer than 10 percent of professional speakers. She travels the country, making presentations to large corporations and small businesses at conferences, board retreats and annual meetings.
