Chamber Ambassador Thompson recognized

Maidi Thompson, Advertising Sales at Aiken Homes & Lifestyles Magazine was named Ambassador of the Quarter at the Chamber’s First Friday Means Business breakfast November 6.

“It is an honor to serve as a Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce Ambassador,” said Thompson. “ I had moved away from Aiken for 13 years and when I returned found that the business community had changed. The Chamber Ambassador Program has provided me with an avenue to reintroduce myself to the Aiken business community. I enjoy the relationships I have made with Chamber members through this program.”

  1. David Jameson, Aiken Chamber President/CEO presented the award to Thompson. “Maidi works diligently to connect with Chamber members through the Ambassador Program. These members appreciate her assistance and we appreciate her commitment to the Chamber’s mission and to the business community. We are proud to have her on our team,” said Jameson.

Ambassador Chair, Gary Sullivan, TPi – Tyler Press, LLC, said, “Maidi Thompson is a ball of fire and ready to jump in and help anytime she is needed. We know if she is signed up to help that the job will get done correctly and efficiently.”

The Chamber’s Ambassadors have a prominent position of responsibility in the business community. They act as the Chamber’s primary liaisons for new and existing members and are highly visible at Chamber events. They assist members by introducing them to the benefits and services of membership and by serving as a means for members to engage in the organization.
