Chamber Ambassador Walker recognized
Cathy Walker, admissions coordinator at Pepper Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC, was named Ambassador of the Quarter at the Chamber’s First Friday Means Business breakfast April 3.
“It is an honor to serve as a Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce Ambassador both professionally and personally. Over the past four years as an ambassador I have learned the importance of our Chamber and how it supports business in Aiken. I am able to relay this beneficial information to business members; whether it is a networking event or skill-building seminar, the Chamber is always developing new ways to promote business in Aiken. As an Ambassador, I feel like I am an integral part of the business community,” Walker said.
J. David Jameson, Aiken Chamber President/CEO presented the award to Walker. “Cathy is an excellent communicator of the Chamber’s mission. We are proud to have her on our team and appreciate the commitment she demonstrates to promoting the Aiken business community,” said Jameson.
Ambassador Chair, Gary Sullivan, TPi – Tyler Press, LLC, said, “Cathy Walker is the ‘machine behind the scene’ that keeps the Ambassador program running smoothly. She is a vital player and fully deserving of this honor!”
The Chamber’s Ambassadors have a prominent position of responsibility in the business community. They act as the Chamber’s primary liaisons for new and existing members and are highly visible at Chamber events. They assist members by introducing them to the benefits and services of membership and by serving as a means for members to engage in the organization.
