Chamber Ambassador White recognized

Kevin White, president/owner, Health and Safety Solutions, was named “Ambassador of the Quarter” at the Chamber’s First Friday Means Business breakfast on April 4.

White is in his second year with the Aiken Chamber’s ambassador program and finds the experience to be very rewarding.  “I like the personal contact with companies I get through the ambassador program.  This year’s ambassador group is the largest ever, and the ties are stronger because we all work together to help each other and to promote business,” he said.

“On a personal note, the ambassador program has helped me establish new leads for my company,” said White, who provides CPR, first aid, and AED training, as well as lifeguard training and certification, to companies and individuals.

White retired from the Navy in 2009 and moved to Aiken the same year.  He applauded the Aiken Chamber and local SCORE office for their proactive approach in helping him start his small business, as well as the benefits of attending First Friday Means Business and Business After Hours, both of which have led to leads for his company.

White teaches physical education at Mead Hall and volunteers for several organizations, including the American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, Gravatt Camp & Conference Center, Aiken Golf Classic Relay for Life/American Cancer Society, and the Lobster Races in downtown Aiken.
