Chamber to celebrate Centennial anniversary at Annual Dinner

The Aiken Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner will celebrate the Chamber’s 100th year of connecting business to the community to enhance the quality of life and economic vitality of Aiken.

Aiken Chamber President/CEO J. David Jameson has celebrated centennial anniversaries at other chamber’s over his career and has this to say regarding the Aiken Chamber’s anniversary, “I have come to realized that those Chamber’s used their anniversary celebrations to look only at the past. We have decided to use our 100th Annual Dinner celebration as a time to look back and enjoy the success that is so Intermingled with the community’s success, but also use it as a launching point to look forward to next century.

The evening will include the presentation of the Chamber’s annual awards. The Man and Woman of the Year will be awarded to two individuals that demonstrate characteristics including leadership skills, community impact and involvement, are role models and mentors to others and demonstrate a commitment to a higher level of ethics in business practices. 

Also being presented are the Small and Large Business of the Year awards. These awards recognize two Chamber members that have completed a minimum of three years in business, demonstrate exceptional customer service, are recognized as community leaders, inspire others, and exhibit vision that goes above and beyond business as usual. 

Attendees of the January 19 event will enjoy a spectacular evening at the USC Aiken Convocation Center consisting of a cocktail reception, followed by an elegant dinner, presentation of awards and exciting music across the decades by local performers.
