GAIT supports Chamber's economic vitality initiatives

The announcement of the Sam’s Club contribution to the Greater Aiken Integrated Trails (GAIT) Foundation marks the third economic vitality initiative in which the Aiken Chamber of Commerce has played a key role.  The economic vitality initiatives match one of the Chamber’s core areas, Economic Opportunity and Market Growth, which focuses on enhancing and leveraging the talents and resources of its members to improve economic opportunities for all.

Economic Vitality Announcements

·        Aiken Technical College and Midland Valley Preparatory Charter School announce the launch of a pilot STEM Academy for 8th graders to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics as career opportunities.

·        Caradasa LLC and the University of South Carolina Aiken announce a unique new partnership for downtown Aiken. The Mill on Park will be a new office community focused on promoting the vitality of small business in Aiken.

·        The local Sam’s Club donates $35,000 to GAIT for the Langley Pond Loop, a recreational trail at Langley Pond.
