Get set to celebrate life in Aiken
The USCA Convocation Center will explode with energy and enthusiasm in January when the Aiken Chamber celebrates its 93rd Annual Dinner. The evening's theme, "Aiken - Life's a Blast," promises to be entertaining and engaging as the Chamber applauds award winners and passes the symbolic gavel for 2011.
The event will take place on January 28 and will "blast" off with a 6:30 p.m. reception and cocktail hour, followed by dinner, presentation of awards, and plenty of dancing.
"It's going to be an exciting gala and fun filled evening. Last year we celebrated Aiken's 175th, and this year we're going to kick it up a notch and keep the celebration going," said J. David Jameson, Chamber President/CEO.
Popular band Too Much Sylvia is sure to kick it up a notch, and then some, with their repertoire of dance music and perchance for catchy costumes and entertaining antics. Their play list includes R&B, Motown, oldies, beach, classic rock, a little funk, and hip hop. Their tag line, "Just making music FUN again," promises to deliver an exciting evening as the Chamber celebrates its 93rd year.
This year's annual awards, which will recognize and honor the Woman and Man of the Year, and the Small and Large Business of the Year, will be presented during the evening's festivities.
