Jameson and Phillips receive service award

May 25, 2017

Aiken Chamber of Commerce President/CEO, J. David Jameson, and Dianne Phillips, Vice President of Administration, were recognized for their years of service by the Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE).

Phillips was recognized for 20 years of service in the chamber industry. She is responsible for the administrative functions of the Aiken Chamber including the finances. The Aiken Chamber continually receives a clear audit that can be credited to her careful fiscal accountability. Phillips is also the director of the highly successful Aiken’s Makin’ Arts and Crafts Show held each September.

“Dianne is a strong asset to the Chamber team. She can be counted on to give 110 percent in all circumstances,” said Chamber President/CEO J. David Jameson. “She is focused and dedicated to the Chamber’s mission.”

Jameson was recognized for 30 years of service in the chamber industry in North and South Carolina. In addition to his chamber experience, he has an additional 12 years of experience in the economic development field. Jameson has led the Aiken Chamber through two 5-Star Accreditation processes with the US Chamber of Commerce. Daily, Jameson leads the largest voluntary membership driven organization of businesses in the Aiken region to be the catalyst for business growth, the convener for leaders and influencers and is a champion for a stronger community.

“Aiken is fortunate that 17 years of David’s career have benefited the Aiken community,” said Chamber Board Chair Charlie Hartz. “David is an exemplary leader and strategic thinker.”

Along with Jameson and Phillips the Chamber has three additional full-time professional staff. They are Mandy Collins, Vice President Economic Vitality; Emily Murphy, Director Membership Services; and Melissa Viola, Information Services Coordinator. Three subject-focused part-time employees complete the team. They are Gary Allington, Local Government Liaison; Mike Lupfer, Director Member Relations; and Sherri Siler, Membership Account Executive.

Collectively the team has 99 years of service in the chamber and economic development field. Ironically, the Aiken Chamber was founded 99 years ago.

With a Chamber team like this, you know the Aiken Chamber means business.
