Meet Carol Johnson
Carol Johnson is the president and CEO of Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS). She is responsible to the Department of Energy for the safe, effective and efficient management and operations of the Savannah River Site. Her responsibilities include providing vision, leadership, mission growth, technological advancement, a performance-based culture of safety and operational excellence at the site.
Johnson has more than 30 years of leadership experience and has worked at several Department of Energy locations including the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, the Sellafield remediation project in the United Kingdom and at the Idaho National Laboratory.
Johnson previously worked at the Savannah River Site form 1981-2004 in various positions. She assumed her current role at the site in May 2014.
Presently, Johnson serves on the board of directors for several organizations, including the Economic Development Partnership of Aiken, Edgefield and Saluda Counties, the Child Advocacy Center of Aiken, the Southern Carolina Alliance and the Original Six Foundation. She is also the chair of the Aiken Together Capital Campaign.
Carol and her husband, Mike Johnson, reside in Aiken.
