Renaissance developer to speak at First Friday

Chamber members will have the opportunity to hear from David Smoots, managing partner of Carbon Properties, the chosen developer of the Aiken Downtown Renaissance Project at First Friday Means Business in June.
 
Smoots will cover what has transpired since being chosen as the developer and give a timeline for the future of the project.
 
In addition to Smootz’ presentation, there will be updates from the city, county, Chamber and June’s First Friday Means Business sponsor AT&T.

Meet David Smoots
Smoots is the founding partner of Carbon Properties. His experience includes Managing Partner of Insite Residential, a boutique residential firm, Director of Sales at Simonini Builders, a high-end regional custom home builder. Smoots’ role at Carbon Properties is to be responsible for the overall leadership of the Company’s team and direction of the Company’s business activities. He has an extensive background in executive management and operations in startup companies as well as established corporations. Smoots holds a BA in International Economics from the University of Georgia and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
