SCORE elects new officers for 2010

The local SCORE (Counselors to America's Small Business) chapter, located at the Aiken Chamber of Commerce, recently elected its new officers for the 2010-2011 year.  The officers are (left to right):  Wayne Schierbaum, treasurer; Stephen Baker, secretary; Jerry Rudd, vice chair; and Chuck Newton, chair. 

   

 
Score is a non-profit organization, partnered with the US Small Business Administration, offering free small business advice and training. 
 
Approximately 12,000 volunteers nationwide share the experience and knowledge learned from a lifetime of business experience on a no cost basis to local entrepreneurs.
 
In the SC South Central region, SCORE has been providing these services through a staff of 20 counselors and administrative volunteers to over 300 local business organizations annually.  These clients range from those who have been in business for years to those who are only considering entering it for the first time. 
 
The counseling staff has experience and background in practically every aspect of business.  Typical areas of expertise are Marketing and Sales, Financial, Distribution, Business Planning, Administration, Procurement, Quality Control and Merchandising.
