SCORE sets class schedule
The local SCORE office has released its class schedule through September and is ready to serve both new and established businesses.
Four seminars designed for those with established businesses are set. The seminars will feature guest speakers and panel discussions. SCORE counselor Larry McHale will serve as the moderator for all sessions.
The first seminar on Human Resources will be held Friday, February 28. The presenter is HR consultant Linda Rudd; panel members are HR retired executive Nancy Hughes and Terry Kneece, Concept H.R., and one of his associates.
Topics to be covered in the HR seminar include hiring practices; PEO outsourcing; and employee training, development, skills inventory, and retention.

Four SCORE workshops designed for early stage businesses are also set. These will be hands-on workshops, and attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops to apply the information to their systems. SCORE counselor Pegi Flahault, owner of Mobile Office Management, LLC (M.O.M.), will lead the workshops.
The first workshop, QuickBooks 010, will be held on March 28. It will cover the basics of setting up chart accounts, items, classes, and other tips in getting started using this accounting program. Attendees must have QuickBooks 2012 or 2013 on their computers.

All seminars and workshops are FREE and will be held at the Aiken Chamber of Commerce, 121 Richland Avenue, E, in downtown Aiken.
