SCORE: Two sessions available for Facebook training
The local SCORE chapter, located at the Aiken Chamber of Commerce, is offering two dates for its next social media work group. The topic is on using Facebook for business.
The first session will be held July 11, and the second one August 1. Both sessions will cover the same information, and participants can choose which session works best for them.
"We've had several people request this topic, so we decided to add a second session to accommodate everyone," said SCORE Counselor Pegi Flahault, owner of Mobile Office Management, LLC (M.O.M.).
SCORE's monthly social media sessions, held from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. at the Chamber, are designed to enhance business visibility. They are intended for business people who are new to social media and for those who are already using social media and who would like to know more about getting the most from this form of marketing/advertising.
The July and August sessions will focus on setting up a business Facebook page for those who do not have one, and on answering questions and solving problems for those who do. The sessions will also cover Timeline, the new Facebook profile.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops to get the most from these practical sessions. Each session will have a planned topic and a presenter/facilitator who will lead the group through the process and answer questions.
The sessions are designed to be interactive with all attendees contributing to the learning experience. They are held the first Wednesday of each month and are limited to a maximum of 10 people.
