State Chamber president to speak at First Friday

Chamber members will hear firsthand what the state legislative delegation is doing for business at the next First Friday Means Business on May 6.  South Carolina Chamber President Otis Rawl will provide an update on what's happening at the Statehouse and the impact Senate and House votes may have on the business community.

Rawl's speech will focus on the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce's 2011 Competitiveness Agenda, the state chamber's annual legislative agenda garnered from grassroots meetings held around the state each year.

Aiken County business and community leaders provided their input last August, and the Aiken Chamber Board of Directors endorsed the 2011 Competitiveness Agenda at its November 2010 board meeting.

First Friday Means Business will be held Friday, May 6, 7:30 to 9 a.m., at Newberry Hall.  To RSVP, click here or call (803) 649-1200, ext. 500 by May 4th

The sponsor of the May First Friday Means Business is Spherion - Recruitment, Outsourcing, Technology.
