Tucker to chair 2011 ambassadors

LaShaunda Tucker, quality engineer with Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, will lead the Chamber's 2011 ambassadors.

Tucker has been a Chamber ambassador for the past two years and credits Chamber board member Gary Williamson, also with Bridgestone, with getting her involved in the program.

"Gary was an ambassador and really enjoyed interacting with the members.  When he was elected to the Chamber board, he encouraged me to apply for the program, and I'm glad I did," said Tucker.

"We're thrilled to have LaShaunda as chair of the 2011 ambassadors," said Arthur "Buzz" Rich, chair-elect of the Chamber.  "She is very outgoing and a great cheerleader for the Chamber.  I know the ambassadors will be productive and successful under LaShaunda's guidance."

Tucker said she is excited to be chairing the program this year and pointed out that it would not be possible without the support of her company.  "Bridgestone is committed to this community and feels deeply about the impact the Chamber has on it.  The leadership at Bridgestone encourages team members to get involved in their communities, and I really appreciate the opportunity," Tucker said.
