Women in Business to feature at&t president

The Chamber’s fall Women in Business luncheon will be anything but par for the course when South Carolina AT&T President, and South Carolina Chamber’s 2011 “Business Person of the Year,” brings her message to Aiken.

Pamela Lackey did not start out to lead one of the largest communications companies in South Carolina.  She wanted to be an educator, a school library media specialist, where she could share the exciting world of learning with all children.

Perhaps it was her father who instilled in her the drive to pursue her dream. The two spent untold hours together on the golf course, where Lackey learned many life lessons with a club, a round ball, miles of greens, a fair share of roughs . . . and some unforgiving sand traps.

Lackey will share how the lessons she learned on the links shaped her future and taught her how to connect with people when she presents “Thinking like a Caddy: Lessons from Life’s Fairway” at the December 8th Women in Business luncheon.   The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newberry Hall.

The cost of the luncheon is:

Foursome (from the same company) - $105

Threesome (from the same company) - $80

Twosome (from the same company) - $55

Individual - $30

To register contact the Chamber at (803) 641-1111 or via email at mcollins@aikenchamber.net.
