Mark your calendars for August 16th and plan to join your fellow business leaders to discuss and prioritize South Carolina legislative issues that need to be addressed.
The annual “grassroots” meeting, held by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce, 121 Richland Ave. E, Aiken, SC. Attendees are invited to come and share their business concerns and provide feedback on what pro-business legislation needs to be passed to improve South Carolina's business climate.
The meeting, hosted this year by the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce, is the fifth in a series of ten the South Carolina Chamber will hold around the state. The meetings are the first step in forming the 2012 Competitiveness Agenda, the business community's annual list of legislative priorities.
The meeting in Aiken will bring together local Chamber members and lawmakers to identify issues that affect business and industry. At the same time, it will strengthen the unified voice of business in South Carolina, which continually strives to sustain a competitive edge by maintaining one of the most positive business climates in the country.
