SCORE: Cash Flow - What Keeps Your Business AliveDate: May 30, 2014Time: 9:15 am - 11:00 am
121 Richland Ave. E.
Aiken, SC 29801
The local SCORE office will hold a workshop designed for owners of small early-stage businesses on May 30.
“Cash Flow – What Keeps Your Business Alive” will be presented by SCORE counselor Pegi Flahault, owner, Mobile Office Management, LLC (M.O.M.). “Cash flow is much more than having enough money coming in to pay the bills at the end of the month,” Flahault said.
She explained further. “I have noticed that many small businesses 'nickel and dime' themselves to death by not watching the little purchases that may not be necessary. They think that taking every job is justified because they are getting paid, but very often they are actually losing money and don't know it,” she said.
The goal of the workshop is to provide the tools business owners need to turn cash flow numbers into words they understand, so they can grow their business. Topics to be covered include:
• profit margin
• pricing your product/service
• knowing the numbers to watch
“We will look at the numbers to help you know when to say 'no' because money coming in is not always a good reason to accept every offer,” Flahault said.
The local SCORE office offers workshops designed for early stage businesses and seminars geared for established businesses.
