Women in Business - Women, Men & MoneyDate: September 16, 2015Time: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
117 Newberry Street SW
Aiken, SC 29801
Join us for an interactive discussion with financial adviser and former senior human resource executive Laura Freedman as she explores the specific differences between women and men as they relate to money, the impact of these differences and what actions women (and the men in their lives) can take to bridge the gap.
“Women's earning power has dramatically accelerated over the past 30 years,” Freedman said. “Women now account for more than 57 percent of managerial and professional positions and receive more advanced degrees than men. And while women continue to bridge the gaps in income and opportunity, one critical gap remains unchanged: women’s role in investing decisions. Only 1 in 5 women in Gen X and Millennial couples participate in investment decisions - decisions that are the foundation of personal financial security.”
This program is for individuals who have an interest in ensuring that they or their loved ones are informed and confidently prepared to make wise financial decisions. Freedman estimates that 90 percent of women will at some point in their lives become solely responsible for their finances. As a result, this Women in Business program applies to individuals at different life stages from early career to post-retirement.
