Women in Business  - Dispelling the Confidence Myth

There are unintended conse­quences of the focus placed on women’s levels of confidence. The Women in Business lun­cheon guest speaker, Laura Freedman, will illustrate these myths and provide concrete actions women can take to achieve higher levels of per­sonal and professional success.

Participants will:

Explore current research on women in the workplace.

Challenge assump­tions about women and ob­stacles to their success.

Learn specific ac­tions women can take to adopt a CEO Mind­set and own their value.


Meet the speaker:
Freedman is a public speaker and financial advisor who spe­cializes in executive financial planning and working with women to become informed and engaged in long term fi­nancial decision-making.


Prior to her role as a financial and investment advisor, she was a senior human resource executive for a Fortune 500 company and executive con­sultant. Freeman brings over 25 years of experience advis­ing leaders on business strat­egy and mitigating risk.

She holds a master’s in Busi­ness Administration from the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business and is a Certified Executive Coach.
